The Philippine Department of Science and Technology, and its project, the Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards (NOAH) has been in operation for some time and has been gathering data on recent disasters, forming a prediction and information body that can be used by everyone for risk and disaster management.

NOAH’s latest feature is its hazard maps. Using data from major bodies of water, a partial list of flood-prone areas in Metro Manila is now available, as supplied by NOAH. Not all areas are available yet.

The public is encouraged to take note of these flood-prone areas in Metro Manila with their corresponding flood hazard maps.

To check if your area is vulnerable to flooding, please view the flood hazard maps of your area at http://beta.noah.dost.gov.ph.
